Registration Fee

In addition to music lessons prices, all students will be charged an registration fee of $20 This registration fee defrays the cost to Cantabile School for utilizing online payment platforms.

LESSONS POLICIES

ATTENDANCE POLICY

  • The day/time you choose when registering for a set of lessons will be reserved for you permanently until lessons are discontinued. Lessons will take place weekly at the same day and time.

  • Students are expected to be present and on time for all lessons. Teachers are not responsible for scheduling make-up lessons due to student absence or tardiness.
  • A teacher may dismiss any student from their studio who misses three consecutive lessons, who has a pattern of absences or last-minute cancellations, who is consistently tardy, or has a history of non-payment.

  • A minimum of 24-hours notice must be given in order to qualify for a make-up lesson. If less than 24-hours notice is given, the student forfeits the lesson and lesson fee. This policy includes cancellation due to illness.

  • If a teacher must be absent for a lesson, they will either arrange for a substitute teacher, or make-up lessons will be scheduled. All substitutes have been vetted by Cantabile School, and have been deemed comparable in education and experience to the absent teacher. Our cancellation policy continues to apply when substitute teachers are utilized.

MISSED LESSONS & CANCELLATION POLICY:

At Cantabile School of Music, we seek out only the most qualified professionals to teach our lessons. As professional educators and performers, their time should be valued. Cancellations affect their schedules, their livelihoods, and compromise the continued progress of the student.

  • If you need to cancel a lesson, we request a minimum of 24-hours notice. If this 24-hour cancellation policy is not observed, the student forfeits their lesson and will not be reimbursed. This includes cancellations due to illness.

  • Students who have provided at least 24-hours notice prior to a cancelled lesson will be able to schedule a make-up lesson with their instructor at no additional cost. Make-up lessons are scheduled at the discretion of the teacher, and must be scheduled within four (4) weeks of the missed lesson.
  • Cancelled make-up lessons will result in the forfeiture of that lesson, and no reimbursement will be given.

  • If a student experiences an emergency, efforts will be made to provide that student with a make-up lesson. Emergencies happen, and it is our commitment to be as accommodating as possible.

  • If a teacher must cancel lessons due to sudden illness or injury, students will not be penalized. It is the responsibility of the teacher to arrange for a substitute teacher or a make-up lesson. In the case that a make-up lesson date/time cannot be arranged, students will receive a credit on their next invoice for the cost of the cancelled lesson.

TERMINATION OF LESSONS:

If you wish to discontinue lessons, we require three weeks notice. Notice must be submitted in writing to: administrator@cantabileschool.com Any remaining balance will be refunded to the student.
